    Perfect complete Mammites nodosoides Fossil Ammonite. Goulmina, Anti-Atlas Mountains, Morocco.

    Ammonites, named after the Egyptian God Amon, is the name used for an extinct class of Cephalopods. They were a very interesting group that lived in the prehistoric oceans, and that was a form of fast-moving invertebrated marine creatures.

    It belongs to the Cephalopoda class, order Ammonitida. Mammites are "horned" ammonites and also a very beautiful species. This one is a perfect example of this beloved species.
